Two hours of work. That was the time that Palmeiras' second day of training for the Club World Cup lasted, during the early hours of this Friday (4), at the Zayed Sports City stadium, in Abu Dhabi.

The work was led by coach Abel Ferreira.

After the warm-up, the players were distributed on the turf in areas demarcated by stakes, and then they did tactical positional work of exchanging passes and building the game.

The only absence was that of goalkeeper Vinicius Silvestre, who tested positive for Covid-19 on arrival in the country and was promptly isolated from the rest of the delegation at the hotel.

In the second part of training, the squad was divided into two teams for tactical transition work, specific moves and positioning. The activity also included some set pieces and shots, among other aspects of the game.

The team will perform an activity in the afternoon at the hotel's gym.

The next training on the field will be this Saturday (5), again at Zayed Sports City Stadium. The debut in the Club World Cup will be in the semi-final this Tuesday (8), at 13:30 (GMT), against the winner of Al Ahly-EGI or Monterrey-MEX, who will face each other on Saturday (5)
